In this exciting and rewarding position, the Assistant Nurse Director will be responsible for assisting with clinical management and administrative coordination of the Nursing System Float Team. The position is a combination of clinical (direct care) and administrative responsibilities, including:

  • Interview and hire process
  • Staff compliance with competencies and regulatory requirements
  • Maintaining up-to-date personnel files
  • Scheduling
  • Staff performance and evaluations
  • Staff education and teaching classes, as needed
  • Payroll processing oversight
  • Formal rounding to include population specific patient assessment, interaction with staff regarding patient care, and review of documentation as needed throughout the shift
  • Assess staff competencies and appropriateness of staff assignments
  • Assist in providing direct patience care, as needed
  • Identify actual or potential patient of staff safety risks
Salary Range: $59.67-$138.60 hourly
Qualifications

We're seeking a highly-skilled, self-motivated professional with:

  • Current California RN license, required
  • BSN, required
  • BLS from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association, required
  • 3 years recent acute care RN experience, required
  • Masters Degree in Nursing, preferred
  • ACLS, preferred
  • Nursing Professional Leadership Certification (NEA-BC, NE-BC, CNL, CNML preferred) or Certification in main area of Clinical practice or obtain within 12 months, preferred
  • Educational or progressive leadership positions, preferred
