About the opportunity
SWCA Environmental Consulting & Engineering is currently seeking a Project-Level Restoration Engineer with a passion for ecosystem restoration and water resource engineering We are looking for an Engineer who can contribute to the growth of our ecological restoration practices throughout the Great lakes as well as support SWCA's ecological restoration projects throughout the entire U.S. This position will be based in New Buffalo, MI, with the flexibility to work either as a hybrid or remote employee. The ideal candidate will have experience/background in stream, wetland, and coastal/living shoreline design projects, and should have a strong experience in applied hydraulics, hydrology, and geomorphology and as well as a working knowledge AutoCAD Civil 3D and hydrology/hydraulic modeling. The position will entail travel on occasion to assess project sites, collect field data, and meet with clients. This position is a full-time (with benefits) position. This position can hired at the following levels:

An employee in this New Buffalo, MI -based position can expect an hourly rate of $34.78-$44.94 for the Assistant Project Engineer role, an hourly rate of $39.59-$50.83 for the Associate Project Engineer role, and an annual salary of $93,475-$120,182 for the Project Engineer role. Actual pay within this range may depend on experience, qualifications, geographic location, client requirements where applicable, and other factors permitted by law. Regular-status employees are also eligible for performance bonuses.
