Location:Iraq Job Summary: The HR Generalist will research, develop, and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified talent. This role includes conducting interviews and assessments, as well as coordinating the hiring process. The HR Generalist will work closely with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and ensure a smooth and efficient recruitment process. Additionally, the HR Generalist will actively support and uphold the company's vision, mission, and values. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop or modifies outreach strategies designed to recruit targeted staff.
- Assesses and evaluates the effectiveness of recruitment efforts and suggests improvements as needed.
- Updates all Staffing and Onboarding documents as needed, such as New Hire Orientation, etc.
- Partners with department managers to craft comprehensive and compelling job descriptions and hiring criteria (including interview process) to attract top talent.
- Keep databases updated to ensure accurate and timely program information is available for reporting purposes.
- Evaluates applicant needs by carefully analyzing job descriptions and qualifications to ensure the best fit.
- Place job advertisements using applicable job sites.
- Evaluate applicant qualifications by conducting screenings, analyzing responses, verifying references, and aligning qualifications with job requirements.
- Assess candidates by discussing job requirements and qualifications with managers while consistently interviewing applicants based on a standard set of criteria.
- Enhances job knowledge by engaging in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining professional networks.
- Work on-site in an austere environment and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Develops market penetration and market expansion plans to support strategic objectives and organizational goals.
- Creates targeting plans and synchronization matrices that outline various strategies for prospecting.
- Engages in daily lead generation activities, including prospecting and follow-up efforts.
- Performs all duties in a safe manner and in accordance with the corporate safety policy.
- SPOT Administrator; specifically responsible for activating and deactivating contract personnel in SPOT. Tracking the deployment status of all personnel on the project.
- Assists with tasks associated with accountability and personnel reporting, to include SPOT form updates, PERSTAT reports, and miscellaneous reporting. Generates SPOT standard reports for the company or organization with which the user is registered.Coordinates with personnel to collect SPOT PII data for activation & deactivation in the SPOT system.
- Other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Must be a US citizen and possess a valid US tourist passport.
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field is preferred but not required
- 3+ years of HR experience in an HR Generalist, staffing, or similar role
- General knowledge of HR policies and procedures.
- General knowledge of U.S. employment and labor law.
- General knowledge of HRIS systems (Workday experience a plus).
- General knowledge of ATS (Applicant Tracking System) System
- Ability to monitor a process and report any discrepancies to individuals and groups.
- Must possess strong organizational skills and a keen attention to detail.
- Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with individuals at various levels.
- Experience in candidate sourcing, pre-screening, conducting face-to-face interviews, and ensuring compliance with general HR policies.
- Hands-on experience with various selection processes.
- Works under general supervision, to provide solutions to technical problems of moderate scope and complexity.
- Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, be comfortable with cold calling, and adapt to changes when needed.
- Minimum of one (1) year of international experience.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite.
- Must possess a valid state driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP
- Government contracting experience is highly preferred.
- Familiar with SPOT
- Prior HR leadership/supervision experience is a plus.
- Experience in international and/or austere environment
Physical Requirements and Work Conditions:
- Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
- May require bending, stooping, and lifting up to 15 lbs.
- Good eye and hand coordination is required.
- Constant use of sight, speech, hearing, frequent keying and use of computer and common office equipment required.
- The work location is in an extremely hot, austere, and potentially hostile environment.
