Senior Hardware Integration and Test Engineer

As a Senior Integration and Test Engineer within Nokia Space and Defense, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of secure communications for NATO and allied nations. You will lead the integration efforts of hardware at unit, board, and third-party levels, collaborating closely with electrical, mechanical, and software teams to create innovative, resilient solutions. Your work will be central to defining testable product requirements, developing comprehensive test plans, and ensuring all hardware meets stringent quality and safety standards. • Define and document testable hardware requirements in collaboration with Product Architects.
• Lead development of comprehensive hardware test plans to ensure product verification meets specifications.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and software engineering teams to achieve a seamless design integration.
• Conduct root cause analysis of product faults, documenting findings and driving resolution efforts.
• Report program status weekly in release manager meetings, keeping stakeholders informed.
• Maintain an efficient lab environment, ensuring compliance with CAPEX constraints and calibration standards.
• Gather necessary documentation for HW design maturity milestones (P7 and P8) to facilitate product launch.
• Mentor junior hardware team members, providing technical guidance and fostering their professional development.
  
  

You have:

• US Citizenship or Permanent Resident status
• Bachelor's degree in engineering; Master's degree preferred
• 10+ years of experience in hardware integration and verification testing
• Proficiency with a wide variety of test automation tools
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

It would be nice if you also had:

• Experience managing customer and third-party test lab relationships
• Knowledge of safety and regulatory testing standards
• Experience providing technical guidance to junior engineers
• Familiarity with creating and maintaining hardware test plans
