Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Developer with 6 to 10 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in BigQuery Data Transfer Service BigQuery ML Cloud SQL and BigQuery. Experience in provisioning billing systems is a plus. The role is hybrid with no travel required and operates during the day shift.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data pipelines using BigQuery Data Transfer Service to ensure seamless data integration and transfer.
• Implement and optimize machine learning models using BigQuery ML to drive data-driven decision making.
• Manage and maintain Cloud SQL databases to ensure high availability and performance.
• Utilize BigQuery to analyze large datasets and generate actionable insights for business stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior developers to foster a collaborative and productive team environment.
• Ensure data security and compliance with industry standards and company policies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data pipelines databases and machine learning models.
• Continuously monitor and improve the performance of data systems to ensure optimal efficiency.
• Document technical processes and procedures to maintain a comprehensive knowledge base.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the company remains competitive.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
• Contribute to the overall success of the company by delivering high-quality data solutions that drive business growth.

Qualifications

• Possess a strong understanding of BigQuery Data Transfer Service and its application in data integration.
• Demonstrate expertise in BigQuery ML and its use in developing machine learning models.
• Have extensive experience with Cloud SQL and database management.
• Show proficiency in using BigQuery for data analysis and generating insights.
• Experience in provisioning billing systems is a nice to have.
• Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.

Certifications Required

Google Professional Data Engineer Certification or equivalent is preferred.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $100,000 - $ 110,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
