Do you want to turn dreams into reality, working with award-winning sustainable Henning Larsen's New York office? We are seeking Entry-Level Designers with B.Arch or M.Arch degree from a NAAB accredited school, looking to start their career and interested in joining our global design community!

You will join a global company that has been growing successfully since its founding in 1959. To continue this journey, we are looking for Junior Designer/Project Team.

Joining our New York City office, you will be part of a company working with international projects of all scales and sizes. Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

  • Work with senior and intermediate team members to produce design studies and supporting renderings/diagrams through an evolving design process
  • Develop design & presentation documents in support of various project phases
  • Work with senior and intermediate team members to draft comprehensive drawing sets from concept through construction documents
  • Demonstrate an inquisitive and creative approach to solving design and technical problems, with the ability to translate them into professional documents
  • Communicate with consultants as required
  • Effectively self-manage time and workload to meet project and task deadlines
  • Provide research assistance for topics such as site context or material and systems selection
  • General familiarity with code, space planning, and other local compliance requirements
  • Open to learning new information while also sharing knowledge with less experienced staff

What are we looking for?

As our new Junior Designer/Project Team, we believe you starting point is:

  • B.Arch or M.Arch degree from a NAAB accredited school or equal preferred
  • Minimum 0 years of post-graduate professional experience including concept design through design development, or relevant internship experience
  • Demonstrably strong iterative design approach
  • Enthusiastic and collaborative when engaging with team members
  • Agility and flexibility - must be a team player that can handle multiple tasks
  • Have demonstrated proficiencies in Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite, 2d drawings, 3d renderings, and physical model making. Additional consideration for proficiency with Grasshopper, Enscape, scripting & programming, Revit, or other programs
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills
  • Practical understanding of materials and building systems in the US market
  • Organized professional who is comfortable working in a growing office
  • Must be authorized to work in the US permanently without sponsorship
  • Fluent in English

Salary Transparency Statement

At Henning Larsen, your base pay is only part of your overall total compensation package. At the time of this posting, this role is likely to be compensated at an annualbase salary between $64,000 and $80,000 Actual pay may be more or less than the posted range, depending on numerous factors, includingexperience, geographical location, internal equity, market conditions, education/training andskill level, and does not include bonuses, overtime, or other forms of compensation or benefits.
