The Lewis Katz School of Medicine (LKSOM) is seeking an Assistant Director for the Narrative Medicine Program. Founded in 2016, this dynamic program offers curricular, co-curricular, and extra-curricular education, along with events throughout the year open to the entire health system. Additionally, the program offers 12-credit Graduate Certificate Program in Narrative Medicine for MD students. Reporting to the Assistant Dean of Narrative Medicine, the Assistant Director will play a vital role in program management and operations, teaching and curriculum development, for the Narrative Medicine program. This position involves enhancing storytelling skills among medical and health professions students, collaborating with faculty and guest speakers to create engaging educational experiences and contributing to the strategic vision of the program. The Assistant Director will also mentor students and faculty, assist in faculty recruitment, promote narrative medicine initiatives, and support grant-seeking efforts.
