Due to an internal promotion, we are seeking an HR Business Manager, Research & Development - Technology based in New Holland-PA/Sioux Falls-SD/Oak Brook-IL/Racine-WI. Reporting to the NA Region HR Leader you will be responsible for providing day-to-day human resource support to the regional R&D community responsible for critical company growth areas including Technology, Innovation, Vehicle & Implements, Precision Technology, User Experience and Powertrain. Successful candidates will have a natural curiosity and interest in all things technology to implement HR and people initiatives consistently across multiple R&D site locations throughout the North America Region.



Responsibilities

    Partners with business function management to develop new approaches and programs that address critical talent objectives in the areas of attraction/retention, leadership development, and positive employee relations.
  • Directs organization design through the evaluation of roles, identification of critical skill development, and forecasting of staffing needs.
  • Counsels managers and supervisors on HR policies, procedures, and disciplinary actions to ensure consistent and fair treatment of all employees.
  • Ensures the effective administration of performance management processes and provides guidance and coaching to the management team.
  • Understands the company's total compensation strategy and works with the business to ensure the consistent application of pay and performance actions.
  • Oversees the staffing process to ensure positions are filled in a timely manner with high-quality candidates, this includes discussing staffing needs with management, screening applicants, and participating in the interview process.
  • Maintains familiarity and compliance with all local, state, and federal employment and EEO laws to ensure effective and timely employment decisions.
  • Delivers clear communication within the business unit on HR policies, practices, and initiatives.
  • Manages employee lifecycle transactions using applicable HR systems.
  • Analyzes trends to assist in the definition and development of key talent reporting/metrics.

The annual salary for this role is $85,000-120,000 (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role.)



Qualifications

The qualified candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline
  • 4+ years of professional work experience in an HR Generalist role with demonstrated HR skills and an understanding of key HR practices to include talent and succession management, performance management and merit planning/implementation.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience working for a large, global organization supporting research and development (R&D) teams, fostering innovation and collaboration.
  • Experience working with management on talent attraction and retention initiatives in support of a fast-paced functional area.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to solve problems and make decisions.
  • Must be organized, able to multi-task, and prioritize work.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical ability.
