About the role:

This position is responsible for the Spencer Site monthly and quarterly financial management results, quarterly forecast cycles, the annual operating plan process, and the long-range strategic plan, among other things. This is a highly visible position, requiring significant interface with site leadership team, Global Supply Chain Finance, and divisional business partners. The Sr. FP&A Manager leads a small team but must also be "hands-on" in the details while still being able to think/act strategically. This role requires adaptability, strong communication and planning skills, adherence to tight deadlines, collaboration, and a desire to drive continuous improvement.

Your responsibilities will include:



  • Lead Monthly and Quarterly Management Close Process for Spencer Site.
  • Manage all reporting requirements, including submissions, reports, analysis, and presentations for site leadership team.
  • Coordinate with production units and support areas, GSC Finance and divisions contacts to troubleshoot close as necessary, as well as understand results. Provide timely and proactive communication to ensure business objectives are met.
  • Directly oversee total P&L analysis for Spencer Site, understanding trends, and presenting areas of go-forward opportunity and/or investment.
  • Develop appropriate metrics by which to measure performance across the Site.
  • Lead Annual Operating Plan inclusive of calendar, reporting, analysis, requirements setting.
  • Proactively define, communicate, and manage all requirements to develop financial statements and partner with production units, support areas and divisions during process.
  • Provide timely supporting analysis and total Site roll-up to leadership team.
  • Recommend Site financial targets for the upcoming year and model various paths to achieving those targets.
  • Oversee all aspects of the financial consolidation process, including the restatement and allocation processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement in processes and tools used to build AOP.
  • Partner with Spencer leaders to evaluate investments, develop ROI models, and support key network projects.
  • Partner with HR on headcount analysis and redesigning headcount reporting and prioritization process to deliver better outcomes for GSC.
  • Additional responsibilities/expectations include:
  • Support product transfers, acquisition integrations and new products to Spencer.
  • Drive continuous improvement within our financial processes to gain efficiencies and participate in Finance Forward program.
  • Lead and develop team members and engage in Finance processes.
  • Support an inclusive culture at BSC.



Required qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis
  • 3+ years of people leadership experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, and data analysis tools such as Power BI and Adaptive Planning preferred.
  • Deep understanding of accounting principles, financial statement analysis, and management reporting. Knowledge, understanding and experience in cost accounting is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present complex financial information to various stakeholders.
  • Capability to analyze data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Knowledge of the manufacturing process, ideally in medical device industry, process improvement and problem-solving tools.
  • Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) software like SAP, Hyperion or Oracle.
