Job Description

This role is an external customer-facing role working with a team of Rockwell engineers and support staff to create solutions. You will be the liaison between our organization and the client through an entire project life cycle from order acceptance by Rockwell Automation through to client approval. You will involve interaction with sales, systems engineering, product development, and other members of teams focused on the delivery of our products to clients. You will report to the Project Manager Team Lead and work remote from anywhere within the United States.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Manage multiple (20-40) projects simultaneously. Projects could range from small ($5,000) to medium and large ($500,000) and have a lifecycle of 4 weeks to several years.
  • Be the commercial lead for the team and the contact for the customer. Coordinating status updates with all partners.
  • Develop project plan, budget, schedule to manage project deliverables
  • Manage risks and updating new or perceived risks as the project is implemented.
  • Set and oversee the project forecasts including determining quarterly revenue recognition and invoicing schedules
  • Coordinate all resource needs including those from internal and external sources
  • Create estimates and proposal, negotiate with customers, and manage contracts for customers and vendors.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • US Citizenship is required due to customer requirements
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
  • Minimum of 5+ years of related experience in project management or leading/managing projects
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering or technical field
  • Currently hold or willing to pursue Project Manager Professional (PMP) certification
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and work within a technical team environment, and managing a geographically dispersed engineering and project delivery organization making effective use of collaboration tools and remote management skills.
  • Proficient in working with engineering leaders to implement project requirements into hardware and software.
  • Ability to oversee complex projects with high-level quality requirements.
  • Technical experience with electro-mechanical system design and associated software development methodologies.
  • Experience and Knowledge of drive systems, PLCs, and industrial automation
  • Willing to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial plants, ships, etc., which may require climbing, working in confines spaces and other unusual work environments
