Job Description

The Proposal Consultant is a critical position within the Lifecycle Services (LCS) organization supporting the commercial side of the business. You will play an important role in supporting Rockwell's ability to convert opportunities to orders. You will report to the Proposal Consultant Manager for Process in the NA commercial offers team and have a hybrid schedule working in Milwaukee, WI, Mayfield Heights, OH, Houston, TX, Chicago, IL or Chelmsford, MA.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop Microsoft product-based estimates and proposals for Process Solutions and RAIIS (Rockwell Automation Installation & Instrumentation Services) using Rockwell developed tools for tracking and compliance.
  • Manage proposal requests in a timely manner, working with account managers as needed, often coordinating multiple long and short-term proposal engagments simultaneously.
  • Develop winning strategies, alongside our Application Consultant and subject matter expert teams, to provide the best technical and/or least costly solution to customer requests.
  • Create technical scopes of work in relation to construction activities and bill of material summaries for RAIIS opportunities, working to ensure competitive pricing from our suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Present proposals for DA approval boards, on occasion to members of senior leadership.
  • Ensure PO's received for delivered proposals are booked correctly with any modifications advised back to account managers for correction by customer.
  • Coordinate handoff to delivery teams for orders won to ensure smooth transition of history.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Technical degree
  • 5+ years relevant work experience
  • 2+ years of proposal and/or estimating experience in automation-related construction environment.
  • General knowledge of DCS, PLC, and HMI platform software and hardware.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft products.
  • Available to travel to different business or client locations, opportunity dependent as-needed, up to 25%
  • These locations may involved manufacturing / construction settings where adherence to safety protocols is mandatory.

This position is part of a job family and compensation will be commensurate on experience and skill level.

For this role, the Base Salary Compensation is from $82,960.00 - 124,440.00 USD Annual with an annual target bonus of 5% of base salary. Actual pay will be based on factors such as skills, knowledge, education, and experience.
