Job Description:

Associate positions offered by Paul Hastings LLP in New York NY: Serve as a member of the M&A team in the Corporate Department. Represent parties in connection with public and private company transactions and takeover defense matters (including shareholder activism) in a broad range of industries. Conduct research, gather and prepare supporting documents. Use in-depth legal education to analyze complex cases and communicate decisions and findings to other Paul Hastings personnel. Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff in order to assist them with providing integrated legal services and top-tier legal advice. Analyze the probable legal implications of client actions by resorting to knowledge of legal precedents while interpreting laws, rulings, and regulations that affect Paul Hastings' clients.

Minimum Requirements:

Must have a Juris Doctor degree, or foreign equivalent, and at least 5 years of experience in the job offered or at least 5 years of experience working in an international law firm. Stated experience must include at least 5 years of experience in each of the following: Working with mergers and acquisitions; performing drafting, negotiation, and advisory services for public companies; performing complex due diligence; working with filings required by securities laws and stock exchange regulations; and advising on securities law.
