Job Summary

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assists in scheduling, distributing, monitoring, and following-up all daily work assignments and ensures that the necessary resources are available to ensure that customers are serviced in compliance with Company standards and agreements
  • Performs daily tasks related to routing of Material to various customer and Company locations throughout the service area while simultaneously maintaining compliance with both DOT rules and regulations and achieving a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Understand carrier/customer requirements to satisfy customer delivery specifications
  • Update management on service issues and freight cost variations and to ensure service meets expectations
  • Coordinates equipment repairs with truck shop
  • Maintains/monitors reports and data entry related areas to ensure performance is meeting or exceeding established Company expectations.
  • Keeps management advised of all performance related issues and recommends solutions
  • Audit freight invoices for accuracy and monitor accessorial charges
  • Comply with DOT rules and guidelines as they relate to 3rd party carriers
  • Able to deal professionally with internal and external customers
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize
  • Must be flexible and able to excel in a stressful environment
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in a Transportation or Logistics
  • Bachelor's Degreed preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to utilize ERP systems and proficient use of Microsoft Office
