STV is seeking an Assistant Project Manager in our North Charleston, SC office. One of STV's priorities is continuously reimagining how we work to improve project performance. This individual will provide fundamental support to senior staff through all project phases, and in so doing, they will be integral to STV's purpose in making communities better through innovative solutions that connect people, places, and the present to the future.

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Pursuit Phase: assist the Project Manager (PM) in developing the delivery, business and resourcing strategies, coordinating with stakeholders, crafting compelling proposal content, and ensuring adherence to deadlines and submission requirements.
    • Support the PM in developing project risks, resources and approach.
    • Support the PM in developing initial scope, schedule and budget.
  • Mobilization and Start-up: support the PM in planning and starting the project per STV standards and requirements.
    • Support the PM in developing tasks, work breakdown structures and logic diagrams.
    • Support the PM in project plan development.
    • Securing subconsultant documentation
  • Project Execution: support the PM in the day-to-day management and administrative activities required for efficient delivery of STV's services and deliverables.
    • Collaborate with the PM to facilitate effective communication and coordination across the project team.
    • Support the PM with project controls - schedule and costs.
    • Support the PM with margin analysis.
    • Assist the PM in tracking and collecting payments.
  • Closeout: assist the PM in planning and implementing the orderly demobilization of the project team and close out of the project records.
    • Assist the PM in review of project documentation completeness and accuracy.
    • Assist in the review of subcontracts to ensure scope of work was performed.
    • Assist in preparing project information for inclusion in STV's knowledge management system.

Education, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent certification/experience in one of the following fields: Engineering, Architecture, Planning or Construction/Project Management.
  • 1-3 years of relevant industry experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and software.

Compensation Range:

$65,126.50 - $86,835.34
