Job Summary Our Integrated Sensors group, located in Melbourne/Palm Bay FL, has an exciting opportunity to join our team. The position will be a key contributor in development of integrated solutions for our customers, involving our High Performance Direction Finding family of systems. The ideal candidate will have a solid C++ background on an embedded linux platform, and have relevant industry experience using Java and/or Python. The position offers a 9/80 schedule with a hybrid work from home option, with in-office presence required during some project phases. We are a growing team within DRS-team members participate in all phases of project lifecycles and thus all have valuable roles in the ongoing success of the organization! Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field with a minimum of 5 years of experience, including experience in development for embedded systems. The following skills are desired, though applicants are not required to have every skill listed. Familiarity with software lifecycle processes such as requirements, design, version control, testing Minimum of two years industry experience using C++ and Java Experience in development for embedded Linux Experience in user interface development for Android Demonstrated ability to learn new tools, techniques, and processes Experience with or willing to learn: Python, C# Ability to act independently, prioritize tasks and manage to a schedule Professional demeanor, good interpersonal skills, and ability to excel in a high-paced multi-tasked environment Ability to occasionally travel to partner and customer locations U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
