Machinist Technician

ACARA Solutions and our client in Scottsdale, AZ have a contract to hire position

• May operate light-duty bench or floor machine tools and equipment.
• 1 year experience as a Machinist Technician
• Works from basic drawings, process sheets, and sketches to perform production tasks, including cutting and shaping metal to precision dimensions.
• Sets up machines, makes adjustments, and performs maintenance on machines.
• Checks use prescribed gauges, jigs, and fixtures to measure close tolerances.
• Monitors and verifies quality by statistical process or other control procedures
• Interfaces with employees and managers within the department.
• Works under supervision and instructions for routine work and detailed instructions for new activities or special assignments.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 1-year experience as a Machinist Technician.

• Basic material knowledge.
• Ability to read and follow instructions, including Engineering and CAD drawings.
• Basic interpersonal skills to cooperate and work effectively with others.
• Basic communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Basic computer skills.
• Basic organizational skills.
• Able to use mechanical hand and simple power tools.
