Responsibilities

Our complex litigation team is actively seeking experienced talent and fresh perspectives-with 3-6 years of complex litigation experience to join our Houston, TX office.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Drafting and responding to complex discovery requests
  • Handling motions and pre-trial preparation
  • Conducting witness interviews
  • Negotiating and communicating with opposing counsel
  • Arguing motions or appeals
  • Conducting discovery conferences
  • Preparing for, defending, and conducting depositions

The ideal candidate will have experience in some or all of these areas.


Qualifications

  • Approximately three to six years of litigation experience
  • Admission to the Texas or California State Bar
  • Motivated self-starter with stellar academic credentials
  • Superb communication and writing skills
  • Commitment to excellence and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Compensation and Benefits

The expected salary range for this position is between $260,000 and $390,000.

Orrick is committed to providing a comprehensive, competitive, and thoughtful total compensation package to our attorneys and staff, wherever they work. This compensation and benefits information is based on the Orrick's estimate as of the date of publication and may be modified in the future. The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include, but not limited to, qualifications, relevant experience or education, particular skills or expertise, geography. Other compensation may include an annual discretionary merit bonus, which would be determined by Firm and individual performance.
