Salary Statement

Estimated Starting Salary Range: USD $87,000.00/Yr. - USD $144,900.00/Yr. Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.

Requirements

    10 years minimum experience in DoD or Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Configuration and Data Management

  • Experience in implementing and managing a configuration management system to ensure accurate control and traceability of all prototype and system configuration documentation, physical parts, and software media for all development and modification projects in a DoD IT environment

  • Experience in designing, planning, enforcing, and coordinating CM processes and procedures

  • Experience in implementing software and software license version control processes, policies and procedures

  • Experience in change management and version control

  • Experience in the use of configuration and data management tools (e.g., DOORS, Eclipse, BitBucket) to store, track, and manage configuration items

  • Experience in Microsoft 365 Sharepoint for document management

  • Experience in facilitating and tracking Contract Data Requirement List (CDRL) documents review and approval per the Data Item Description (DID) within the program office

  • Experience in establishing and maintaining baseline documentation, as required, by capturing approved changes to the baseline in the impacted baseline documentation

  • Experience in collaboration with relevant teams internal and external to the program to ensure accuracy in data

  • Experience in developing and delivering Configuration Management Plans (CMP)

  • Experience in maintaining status accounting records to ensure that current and historical configuration of products can be accurately determined throughout the product life cycle

  • Experience in producing reports indicating status of configuration items and communicate to management

  • Experience in the Government Change Control Board and/or knowledge of Configuration Control Board(s) process



Desired Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline preferred; will consider additional years of related experience in lieu of a degree
  • Proficiency in DoD Acquisition and Life-Cycle Management policies and procedures
  • Proficiency in JIRA, Confluence
  • Experience in configuration management of on-prem and commercial cloud environments
  • Experience in configuration management for a DevOps environment
  • Experience in automating change processes
  • Experience in executing release management
  • Familiarity with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
  • Exceptional organizational, verbal and written skills


Description

This team is challenged daily to provide cutting edge technology solutions to our clients. SRC is searching for a Senior-level Configuration Manager with experience in establishing, managing, and overseeing configuration management (CM) processes, procedures, and policies to support United States Space Command (USSPACECOM) systems. This role involves ensuring compliance with CM policies, maintaining configuration item control, and producing reports on configuration status. The position requires extensive experience in configuration management disciplines, particularly within the DoD context. Work will be conducted at the government's facilities in Colorado Springs, CO. Duties & Responsibilities include:

  • Establishing and maintaining the configuration management engineering process and baselines to include configuration identification, status accounting, and audits to ensure the performance and quality in data delivery
  • Managing change control processes, and ensuring compliance with organizational and contractual requirements
  • Identifying, resolving, and preventing data inconsistencies
  • Identifying and Utilizing configuration management tools to store, track, and manage configuration items
  • Maintaining baseline documentation, as required, by capturing approved changes to the baseline in the impacted baseline documentation once approved by the government
  • Developing or modifying CM plans, policies, and procedures tailored to the complexity and scope of the project(s)
  • Serving as an advisor to (or non-voting member of) Change Management Board (CMB) or Change Control Board (CCB)
