We are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter to join our facilities maintenance team for the evening shift. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the appearance of three commercial buildings in the bustling Boston Seaport area. Schedule: 3-11 pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute painting projects in various areas of the buildings, including offices, common areas, and exteriors as needed
  • Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer
  • Mix, match, and apply paints, stains, and other finishes to achieve desired results
  • Use brushes, rollers, and spray equipment as appropriate for different surfaces and projects
  • Protect surrounding areas by covering floors, furniture, and fixtures
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols
  • Coordinate with other maintenance staff and building management to minimize disruption to tenants
  • Manage time effectively to complete projects across all three buildings as scheduled
  • Keep accurate records of time spent and materials used for each project
  • Perform touch-ups and minor repairs as needed

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a professional painter
  • Proficiency in various painting techniques and familiarity with different types of paints and finishes
  • Knowledge of proper surface preparation and paint application methods
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Flexibility to work evenings and occasional weekends as needed
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to move between buildings
  • Physical ability to stand, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must pass background check that includes drug screening and credit check

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in commercial or multi-building environments
  • Familiarity with green or low-VOC painting products
  • OSHA safety certification
