About the Role: Develops and integrates assembly processes and capital improvement projects to efficiently manufacture trailers. Leads cross-functional teams to implement improvements to existing equipment, manufacturing methods and tooling. Leads complex projects independently with minimal supervision. Your Responsibilities:
- Assesses process capabilities, prioritizes process improvement opportunities, and innovates and implements process improvements on commercial products.
- Applies technical knowledge to innovate, design, and develop processes, procedures, tooling, and/or automation.
- Plan, organize, and conduct all aspects of technical reviews.
- Ensures proper documentation is completed to meet quality systems requirements.
- Writes and reviews validation protocols and reports applications to new processes.
- Oversees development builds associated with the project using special work requests.
- Develops and maintains qualified production lines.
- Provides Design for Manufacturability (DFM) input to the engineering print package.
- Contributes or generates ideas.
- Train and provide work direction to technicians, engineers, and manufacturing personnel when required as part of a validation.
- Serve as a core team member or extended team member on new product projects.
- Participate in lean reviews and line-side meetings.
- Comply with all requirements of the Environmental, Health and Safety standards and follow procedures and instructions related to these standards.
- Establish and support a work environment of continuous improvement that supports Quality Policy, Quality System, and the appropriate regulations for the area they support. Ensure employees are trained to do their work and their training is documented

Let's Talk About Your Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree - Major Desired: Engineering or Technology (Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial)
- 2 to 4 years of Manufacturing / Process Engineering experience with-in an Assembly or Welding environment
- 1 to 2 years of experience with capital project management and justification
- 1 to 2 years of AutoCAD and Solidworks design experience
- SAP experience a plus
- Microsoft Project (or equivalent) experience preferred
- Metal Fabrication (shear, presses, turrets, laser cutting, plasma cutting) and MIG welding experience a plus
- Strong problem solving / trouble shooting experience
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office software
- Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma training a plus
- Proficient in AutoCAD or Solid Works
- Demonstrated leadership of capital / continuous improvement projects focused on meeting corporate and departmental goals
- Effective at developing and managing a project plan to achieve desired results
- Proven ability to achieve required objectives through the leadership of others
- Ability to communicate with production associates, build relationships, work within cross functional teams (hourly/salaried) and gain consensus within work teams
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, self-directed, and capable of interacting and communicating with all levels within the organization.
- Ability to multitask and lead / prioritize multiple projects
