Secret Regular JOB OVERVIEW: Valiant Integrated Services, a prominent leader in the Defense Services industry, is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Operations Manager to oversee training support services for the Army at the Mission Training Complex (MTC) at JBLM, Washington. This full-time position involves comprehensive management of training resources, including personnel, equipment, and facilities, while ensuring the efficient operation of the contract. The role also includes administrative responsibilities such as managing staff travel, security clearances, finance, and various human resources functions. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise to maintain strong communication and collaboration with military customers, government officials, and contract staff, working closely with department leads, government leadership, and the contract Program Manager to ensure successful program execution. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS): Oversee the scheduling, space allocation, and resource management for all MTC training activities. Supervise facilities management, maintenance, and ensure proper supply accountability. Ensure security protocols and access control measures are upheld across all MTC facilities. Lead the recruitment process for the Operations Support Team, including interviewing, selecting, and hiring candidates. Monitor and train both new and existing employees to meet Company and Government training requirements. Plan, assign, and manage work assignments for the Operations Support Team. Author and provide performance appraisals, offering feedback and guidance for employee development. Address employee performance issues and implement corrective action plans as necessary. Manage the administration of local contract staff, including coordinating travel, processing security clearances, and resolving finance and HR matters. Oversee usage and status reporting, conduct trend analysis, and produce contract deliverables as needed. Handle sensitive Government data regularly and in accordance with security requirements. Provide general administrative and clerical support as needed. Occasionally serve as a trainer-instructor for collective training activities. Serve as the Site Manager during their absence, as required. Valiant Integrated Services is an employer who hires in accordance with applicable state and federal law. QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES): A minimum of ten years of experience leading and supervising diverse, multi-skilled military teams. Active SECRET clearance required at the time of hire. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to maintain a tactful and non-judgmental approach. Exceptional organizational, research, writing, and communication abilities. Proficient in basic computer skills, including MS Office, email, and typing. Ten years of previous military experience is required. Experience working at a Mission Training Complex is preferred. Ability to maintain close customer contact while working independently and demonstrating creativity in problem-solving. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma required; associate's degree preferred. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, as well as standing for extended periods. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds when needed. Work in both in buildings and outdoor environments. Outdoor environments may involve inclement weather conditions, carrying equipment over uneven terrain, and maneuvering equipment in tight spaces. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge of military rank structure, protocol, and the organization of military units.
