Job Summary

The Mobile Maintenance Technician operates and maintains multiple building systems that provide establishments with services such as heat, air-conditioning (cooling, humidification, dehumidification, filtration, and air circulation), and electricity within a given Los Angeles geographic area. This hands-on role requires performing preventive and corrective maintenance work while adhering to JLL standards and guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Observes and interprets readings on gauges, meters, and charts which register various aspects of system operations, adjusting controls to ensure safe and efficient operation

  • Records system operations in logs and maintains accurate documentation of all maintenance activities and equipment status

  • Operates and maintains HVAC, mechanical, electrical, lighting, plumbing equipment, and electronic control systems to maximize efficiency and equipment lifespan

  • Performs preventive, reactive, and corrective maintenance utilizing CMMS systems, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Teams for tracking and reporting

  • Troubleshoots complex systems, constructs components, conducts tests, and corrects malfunctions across building systems

  • Extracts and compiles engineering data from various sources, identifying errors and selecting appropriate methods for data presentation

  • Assists in design modifications by analyzing operational failures and compiling data related to specifications and materials

  • May direct and coordinate activities of other workers in performing tasks related to system operation and maintenance

  • Oversees vendors in installation, upgrade, and improvement projects, ensuring adherence to response time requirements for urgent situations

  • Works to minimize equipment downtime through efficient maintenance practices and may respond to after-hours emergency calls

Requirements

Required

  • Industrial HVAC experience OR direct data center mechanical experience

  • Basic electrical knowledge and understanding of electrical systems

  • Knowledge of building systems and control equipment

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite applications

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Valid driver's license for travel between sites within Los Angeles area

  • U.S. Citizenship (per DoD regulations)

  • Ability to pass a DoD background investigation

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD clearance level commensurate with the position

Preferred

  • Extensive hands-on electrical experience and troubleshooting

  • Experience with CMMS and maintenance management software

  • Experience with building automation systems

  • Previous experience working in a mobile maintenance role

  • Familiarity with DoD facilities maintenance requirements

  • Availability for occasional after-hours emergency response

Estimated total compensation for this position:

72,800.00 - 83,200.00 USD per year

The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
