Position:Environmental Test Technician

Location:Cambridge, MA (Onsite)

Length:6 months (Contract to Hire)

Job Description:

Our client is seeking an Environmental Test Technician who will be responsible for supporting various environmental tests by operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting test equipment. The role will include tasks such as coordinating technical documentation, including calibration, preventive maintenance, and procedures. Additionally, the technician will handle the transportation of test equipment, data, and supplies as required. The ability to work effectively in a process-oriented setting and communicate technical information accurately and thoroughly is crucial for this position.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot environmental test equipment.
  • Assist in the coordination and implementation of technical documentation (i.e., calibration, preventive maintenance, and procedures).
  • Transport test equipment, office supplies, and custodial materials as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant military and aerospace standards and procedures.
  • Maintain and document all work performed, following strict guidelines and processes.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required (graduation from a technical school in a relevant field is strongly preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting electro-mechanical systems and complex integration and test activities.
  • Proficient in the use of hand and power tools.
  • Must have the physical strength, stamina, and dexterity to perform strenuous assignments when needed.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and dedication to following procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (i.e., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required.
  • Experience with test and data acquisition software is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with military and aerospace compliance standards is preferred.
  • Candidates must have a valid security clearance (minimum Secret level).
  • Candidates must be a United States Citizen.
