SUMMARY OF DUTIES

This position is responsible for the overall brand and creative efforts of the organization to drive awareness and understanding of Merit Medical across stakeholders. This includes leading brand strategy/management; creative services; and protecting Merits global visual identity.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS PERFORMED

1. Directs departmental staff by interviewing, hiring, training, performance evaluation, discipline, firing and other related duties.

2. Develops brand strategy and directs global brand design/content efforts.

3. Manages creative strategy with a cross-functional team of graphic designers, copywriters, photographers/videographers, and project managers in the strategic development of messages and deliverables

4. Partners with the platform team in the development and management of product brand/visual identity and core claims/messaging. Leads execution of assets for new product launches.

5. Develops the company's tradeshow and education visual identity.

6. Manages the development and production of corporate collateral materials.

7. Creates advertising campaigns.

8. Develops market research programs and opportunities.

9. Maintains awareness and knowledge of industry trends and direction.

10. Maintains market and product knowledge and sales information within all product portfolios.

11. Develops and manages the department's budget.

12. Supports public relations programs and opportunities working in partnership with the VP of Corporate Communications.

13. Assist peers to build Brand, Communications and marketing capabilities within the organisation and across geographies.

14. Performs other duties and tasks, as required.

SUMMARY OF MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

* Education and/or experience equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related field.
* Work related experience equivalent to nine years, with five of those years in a marketing managerial role.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to manage projects efficiently and effectively and to meet deadlines in a timely manner.
* Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
* Demonstrated computer skills preferably spreadsheets, word processing, database and other applicable software programs
* Excellent presentation skills and the ability to prepare professional written and oral presentations and market analysis.
* Excellent market research skills and the ability to report research findings with high degree of validity and reliability.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Master's degree strongly preferred.
