The Operations Coordinator will be responsible for:
  • Gathering data and qualitative measures related to departmental operational performance.
  • Analyzing data to identify trends and opportunities to improve department operations.
  • Creating reports, which summarize data and its findings in an effective manner.
  • Communicating reports to key department stakeholders and leveraging the reports' insights to drive process improvement projects.
  • Coordinating the day-to-day activities of improvement projects, including recruiting project staff, setting up any reports or requests for data, organizing meetings, and facilitating any team group exercises or performance improvement exercises.
  • Working with the improvement project team to understand and assist with tracking key initiatives, metrics, and project assignments.
  • Supporting the Project Manager in developing comprehensive workflows for select projects.

To qualify, you must have:

  • Bachelor's degree with a concentration on healthcare management, science, business administration, or related field, or equivalent. Master's preferred
  • 3 years relevant experience with one year experience managing multiple highly complex projects preferred
  • The ability to effectively manage multiple demands and projects and/or proposals simultaneously within assigned department/division and to persuade and negotiate with peer level department heads and/or with external agencies/facilities on issues and programs that impact assigned department as well as several other large departments/divisions.
  • Advanced knowledge of PC-based software applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and manual and web-based applications for collecting/ reporting data
  • Demonstrated ability to lead quality improvement and/or process improvement activities. For research efforts, ability to lead and conduct basic secondary research (e.g., literature reviews) and advanced quantitative and qualitative analysis.
