  • Estimated hourly rate pay: $25.27 (minimum) - $31.59 (midpoint) - $37.91 (maximum)

Are you ready to make your mark? If you're a Technical Writer, we have an exciting opportunity for you. This is a role designed to make your mark on the aircraft ind creating and editing aircraft repair instruction manuals and other instructions to assure continued airworthiness on flight vehicles. Works in a exciting collaborative team environment with other writers, illustrators, engineers and technicians. What You Will Be Doing
  • Create and edit technical documents, such that they are clear and readily understandable by a defined target audience. Perform simple proof-reading of technical documents. May include, but not limited to, Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs), technical bulletins, and Assembly and Test documentation. Responsible for ensuring documents are ready for review by the appropriate personnel prior to reaching the end user.
  • Research the necessary information required to create technical documents, by sourcing and reading engineering documentation, interfacing with Woodward engineers and other subject matter experts, observing hardware operations, consulting with sales, operations and other members, or by other necessary means. Uses existing templates and files.
  • Maintain existing technical documents within the appropriate documentation systems and libraries, through use of the approval processes.
What We Are Looking For
  • Demonstrate an ability to write technical documents in (SGML) Standard Generalized Market Up Language for aerospace components using industry standards.
  • Knowledge of or keen interest in learning Aerospace technical documentation standards and Simplified Technical English
  • Must be able to work well with engineers and other subject matter experts.
  • Exhibit self-directed work habits.
