Job Overview
This position will provide the resource to support all aspects of facilities maintenance. Mechanically inclined with all-around troubleshooting abilities including: electrical, plumbing, HVAC, network hardware installation support, fork-lift equipment, stock chasers and welding. The job also includes conducting cosmetic repairs, patching/painting, drywall repair, trim work, general construction, floor repair, etc. The Facilities Maintenance Tech must have good organizational and record keeping skills that comply with 5s standards.
Scope
Supports an operation that produces a sales Volume of $1B annually, facility that hosts 325 Komatsu employees and 290 3PL employees, warehouses $300M in inventory, including 220,00 SKU's, receives 2.1M DB lines annually and bins of 520k inbound lines annually.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Maintains and repairs: electrical, mechanical, cosmetics and other areas as needed in the warehouse operations, including administrative and 3PL operations.
- Repair, trouble shoot, overhaul, and maintain all production equipment.
- Provides support to the operation in achieving world class levels of 5s. Personally demonstrates 5s while performing daily activities.
- Decipher wiring diagrams and blueprints.
- Practices and demonstrates leadership in OSHA/TOSHA laws, specifically safety in the work place, follows lock out tag out procedures, etc.
- Owns and makes recommendations to improve preventative maintenance tasks.

Qualifications/Requirements
- Must possess a high school education, including trade school and/or technical school certifications. Associates degree in maintenance a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a maintenance capacity.
- Must be able to read and decipher blueprints and electrical schematics, including symbology and relay circuits.
- Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Must possess a positive/supportive attitude and be able to work in a team work environment.
- Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the associate is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations within the facility and the ability to stand, walk stoop, kneel, crouch and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weight items of 20-30 pounds. Infrequently handle medium to heavy weight items of 35-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application information. The associate frequently is required to reach with hands and arms, talk and hear. Work safely from ladders, platforms, lifts etc., in a non-air conditioned environment.
