Temporary Transmission Garage Mechanic

This is a temporary position.

The Temporary Transmission Garage Mechanic will be expected to perform the following duties:

• R&R of automotive transmissions and other vehicle components
• Installation of instrumentation.
• Light fabrication
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Take training as directed.
• Support Coworkers as needed.
• Maintain skill set in line with product development and engineering needs.
• Enter required administrative tracking of program information, hours worked, lost time etc.

Basic Qualifications:

• Good work management skills.
• Good communicator.
• Has proven mechanical skills.
• Has computer skills.
• Able to work in a team environment.
• Able to support overtime as needed.
• Has standard mechanics tools and a lockable toolbox.

Preferred qualifications:

• Knowledge of automotive hardware.
• Vehicle system accreditations.
• High organizational and planning skills.
• Has dealership or other vehicle garage experience
• Good fabrication skills.
• Very effective communicator.
