Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled PCB rework and assembly Technician to assist our engineering team in the development of RF Front End Modules. You will be working closely with talented minds transforming technology with new ideas. The ideal candidate should have extensive hands-on experience with phone board rework, assembly, soldering fine pitch passive components, manual flip chip assembly, precision rework on sensitive devices and support RF testing. This role involves working under a microscope for detailed inspection and rework activities on multi-layer complex PCBs.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to engineers to develop state-of-the-art technology for future wireless applications.
  • Rework logic boards used in mobile devices, including desoldering and resoldering components.
  • Rework RF Front End Modules to assist the engineering team in debugging at both the module and board level.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of soldering and reflow properties.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with phone boards using specialized diagnostic tools and techniques.
  • Oversee inventory and maintain traceability of customer property, along with necessary parts and tools for rework.
  • Effectively communicate technical issues and repair processes with the engineering team.
  • Stay updated on the latest mobile technologies and repair techniques.
  • Follow ESD protocols to ensure product safety and keep detailed ESD documentation and records.
  • Familiarity with RF test equipment such as multimeters, spectrum analyzers, VNAs, oscilloscopes, signal generators, power meters, and power supplies is beneficial but not mandatory.

Job Qualifications

  • The candidate should have relevant experience working with rework and assembly of logic boards used in mobile applications, or an associate degree with a minimum of 2 years' experience in manual PCB rework and assembly.
  • Proficiency in diagnostics and repair of highly complex PCB design, containing a dense network of integrated circuits and components that are intricately interconnected.
  • A team-oriented attitude, strong sense of accountability, ownership, and excellent organizational skills are crucial for this role.
  • Excellent English writing and communication skills, as well as proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, are required.
  • Experience with AutoCAD is preferred.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD$29.33 -$50.96 per hour. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
