Summary of Job Duties:The primary responsibility of the Maintenance Supervisor is to manage all building sites, including two off-site locations and multiple Adult Education sites. Sites can be 30 to 50 miles away from the main campus. Managing building sites requires scheduling maintenance work orders and managing building operations, ensuring that maintenance and repair costs stay within budget. As well as ensuring that maintenance staff perform the proper repairs and preventative maintenance needed to keep campus running smoothly. Other duties include knowledge of drawing blueprints with the software Draft site or AutoCAD and have ability to read blueprints to monitor the upkeep of electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems; oversee common repair tasks, such as patching drywall, fixing leaks, painting and re-keying locks; interview, hire and train maintenance staff; develop a preventative maintenance program for the purpose of ensuring schools are maintained in a safe condition; collaborate with internal and external personnel (e.g. other administrators, auditors, public agencies, community members, construction managers, architects, vendors, etc.) for the purpose of implementing and/or maintaining services and programs; recommend policies, procedures and/or actions for providing direction for meeting the University's goals and objectives; be on-call sometimes, so they can be contacted at any time in case of an emergency with one of their buildings ;and other duties as assigned. Qualifications:

Candidates should have a high school diploma, at least five years of maintenance or related work experience and a proficient understanding of building codes and regulations or the equivalent combined years of education and work experience. Must be detail oriented and possess leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. A working knowledge of HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) systems is necessary for this position. Must have HVAC EPA Certification License or obtain within a year from hire date.
