Primary Purpose of the Position

The Military Coordinator will assist in the management of military and Department of Defense reservations; ensuring crews receive 5-star customer service. Military Coordinators are generally the first point of contact for military customers. The Military Coordinator will report directly to the General Manager and work closely with the company Military Liaison. Collectively this team will ensure a safe and expedited experience for our military and DOD customer.

Essential Functions:



  • Check and confirm all military and DOD reservations generated through email, phone, and internet reservations page.
  • Coordinate ancillary services for each reservation to include hotel rooms, transportation, and catering as applicable.
  • Manage the Military calendar and X1 system reservations for visibility with the FBO and Management teams.
  • Manage relationships with hotels, rental cars, and food services to provide the best rates available to the service members.
  • Coordinate any equipment requirements with FBO and Maintenance personnel.
  • Developed and distribute parking diagrams.
  • Manage receivables and Aircards.
  • Attend military conferences as directed.
  • Help to develop and maintain training documents.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications



  • High school diploma or GED certificate.
  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  • A valid state driver's license and meet the company's insurability requirements.
  • It's most important that you have genuine desire and interest in the aviation field.
  • Ability to pass criminal background check to obtain ILM issued ramp access badge.
  • Ability to pass a drug test.
  • Flexible schedule.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Previous aviation & military experience.
  • Strong organizational & customer service skills



Reports to: General Manager

Supervisory Responsibility: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

FLSA Status: This position is nonexempt.

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers. This position requires various tasks performed in all types of weather conditions.

Travel: This position requires minimal travel.

Physical Requirements: Physically able to perform frequent walking, sitting, stooping, stretching, bending, reaching, and grasping actions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions including extreme heat and cold. The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud. May be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
