We are actively looking for a Structural Engineer to join our Costa Mesa office. As part of the Structural Group, the Structural Engineer design structures to withstand stresses and pressures imposed through environmental conditions and human use. They ensure buildings and other structures do not deflect, rotate, vibrate excessively or collapse and that they remain stable and secure throughout their use.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Work under an experienced professional engineer to perform assignments that require bridge design, analysis, and calculations
  • Apply standard engineering techniques for design of steel and concrete structures
  • Conduct structural inspections of bridges and ancillary highway structures
  • Work closely with other disciplines on multidiscipline projects

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with Structural emphasis; required
    • Master's degree; preferred
  • Minimum 2-4+ years of experience with engineering consulting firm earning bridge design experience; preferred
  • Engineer-In-Training (EIT) or working toward
  • Experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Microstation and AutoCAD experience preferred
  • All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171

Base salary range:

$100,000 to $120,000 annually based on years of experience, level of education obtained, professional registration, and meeting required qualification in job description.

Base salary range only applicable for candidates who will be hired and working in the California markets.

Working conditions:

Sedentary for prolonged period of time, interact with clients, and travel occasionally.
