System Administrator

The System Administrator will help to ensure the smooth functions of IT systems, monitor for potential issues in a proactive manner, and support compatibility between systems for a flagship integrated combat system for the Navy. They will also govern datacenter operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and configure software, hardware, and networks.

• Monitor system performance and troubleshooting issues.

• Ensure security of IT infrastructure.

• Troubleshoot issues and outages.

• Upgrade systems with new releases and models.

• Be proactive about challenges or constraints within the program and manage them accordingly.

• Provide detailed specifications for proposed solutions including materials, manpower and time necessary.

• Active DoD Secret clearance.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field or applicable work experience.

• Six years of experience as a System Administrator, preferably in the government sector.

• Demonstrated experience with VMware (Vcenter).

• Experience with Cisco ACI products or related Cisco technical environments.

• Experience with data system security.

• Experience with creating scripts in Python, Perl, or other scripting languages.

• Professional experience and high-level understanding of working with various operating systems and their implications.
