Job Description Summary

$1000 SIGN ON BONUS!! Starting rate up to $28/hour based on experience! Performance/Comp reviews at 90 days, 6 months and 1 year.

Job Description

* Responsible to dimensionally check start-ups, fixes, alterations, die P.M. layouts for conformance to blueprint specifications and revisions.
* Performs periodic visual inspection of die cast and trimmed parts.
* Ability to contrive formulae for computing otherwise unobtainable dimensional information.
* Responsible for inspecting and calibrating gages, fixtures, tooling as required and conductingGR&R studies before being used in manufacturing, inspection and die repair.
* Responsible for inspection of segments, cores and other die parts, when needed.
* Writes computerized programs to run on CMM. This includes, but is not limited to, Castings, Die Steel Cores, Segments and Customer Concerns.
* Evaluates dimensional results for sample activities (i.e. new tooling, engineering changes and customer concerns/complaints).
* Generates and organizes PPAP documentation for submittal. Maintains PPAP files and records.
* Works with Engineering and Tool Room to ensure parts conform to specifications. Also, provides input for layout fixture to designs.

Required Skills and Education

High school diploma or equivalent

2+ years experience performing inspection, gaging and calibration in a manufacturing environment

2+ years operating CMM software

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
