IEM is looking to hire a Full Time - Talent Acquisition Specialist to assist with hiring efforts and support tasks across the many sectors of our company. The candidate we are looking for will have current experience in hiring within the emergency management and/or disaster recovery fields. We need someone with strong knowledge in all areas of employment recruitment including effective surge recruiting, sourcing methods, pipeline development and competitive compensation practices. Primary Location:
- Candidates can originate from anywhere in the United States, you will work remotely from home or personal office location.
Travel Requirements:
- Ability to attend job fairs as needed.
Essential Functions:
- Collaborate with hiring managers throughout the hiring process, assisting and advising them with the development of job requisitions.
- Manage surge recruiting needs as well as candidate local pipeline development.
- Evaluate applicant resumes, screen applicants, and coordinate applicant interviews.
- Generate candidate offer letters.
- Keep Applicant Tracking System updated- current system being used is ADP.
- Demonstrate a sense of urgency; often, we have high volumn demands with a short time frame.
- Will utilize working knowledge of advanced sourcing skills, including Boolean string searches for obscure talent.
Minimum Qualifications:
- One (1) to Three (3) years of experience recruiting talent for a company or agency within the emergency management or disaster recovery fields.
- Fluent - Bilingual: English / Spanish
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Sharepoint.
- Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate work schedules.
- Ability to attend job fairs across the US including Puerto Rico and other US territories.
- Ability to manage multiple, concurrent recruiting tasks and prioritize tasks based on competing demands.
- Ability to source and create strong networks of local talent.
- Knowledge of employment and labor laws and regulation compliance
- Demonstrated experience with Applicant Tracking Systems, LinkedIn, and various job posting boards
- High level of skill in the following: project management, verbal and written communications, listening, confidentiality, detail-orientation, organization, negotiation, time management, self-initiative
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field
- Experience developing candidate pipelines across multiple states
- Experience with recruiting positions within the Emergency Management or Disaster Recovery fields.
- One or more years of human resource experience.
Additional Location and Travel Information:
- Office Locations: Office locations are often either owned by the client we work with or by IEM. All candidates are expected to follow any rules and regulations of the office in which they are required to work for that project.
- Remote Work: All remote work environments require the ability to maintain minimum Internet speeds of 25 Mbps upload and 3 Mbps download, as well as a ping rate of 100 ms or less during working hours, regardless of the type and number of devices using your Internet connection. You must also have account privileges and access to your Internet service provider account during working hours for the purposes of maintaining the Internet connection, if needed.
