This System Engineeringiposition is an exciting opportunity based in Colorado Springs, CO that encompasses dimensions of system engineering and assisting leadership with knowledge of systems development, engineering, and integration. The successful candidate, as part of our engineering team, will work with our management, product, and IR&D teams to help create strategic technical visions, build successful solutions for executing programs, and strengthen our market domination.



  • Supporting the C-SAR System Engineering team to ensure all engineering contractual requirements and deliverables are met.
  • Support program Configuration Control Boards (CCBs) and System Engineering IPTs (SEIPTs)
  • Participate in CDRLs generation and deliveries based on customer prescribed schedule
  • Requirementis analysis
  • System design and architecture
  • System documentation updates
  • Perform the role of Product Owner for assigned subsystem
  • Work closely with system developers, test, and on-site user support personnel to support system updates, analyze and resolve system issues, and ensure project objectives are met.
  • Provide technical advice to our customers on architectures and potential solutions
  • Developiand deliver effective customer presentations (support design reviews, statusireports, kickoff meetings, test plans) demonstrating an ability to communicate comfortably at a system level
  • Attend and supportihighly technical engineering team meetings
  • Travel as necessary to attend conferences and customer meetings

Required Experience:

  • 5+ years engineering experience
  • BS in SE, CS, EE, ME, or other engineering equivalent
  • Support programs through SRR, PDR, CDR or equivalent design reviews
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Power Point, Visio)
  • Familiarity with modern IT infrastructure capabilities to include virtualization, cloud deployment and containerization
  • Candidate must be self-motivated and comfortable with supporting multiple groups of developers, engineers, and testers.
  • Candidate must be able to articulate technical concepts orally and in written forms both internally to the team as well as externally to the customer and users.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.


Preferred Skills and Experience



  • Working knowledge of space systems, including ground systems, satellite command and control, RF systems, and system development processes is a plus.
  • Experience with Agile methodology
  • Experience with Product Owner
  • Experience with Atlassian products
  • Experience with satellite ground systems
  • Experience with SCN (formally AFSCN)
  • Experience with SATCOM mission planning
  • Experience with SecDevOps processes
  • Model-Based Systems Engineering using Cameo or Enterprise Architect
  • Security+ certification is not required but is beneficial to the position

The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Salary Range: $90,000-$125,000
