What is the opportunity?

You will interact with the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC), Euro Clear, RBC Wealth Management, RBC Capital Markets, correspondents, trading departments, and various departments within Operations.

You will act as a liaison between trading desks and other operations personnel within RBC, DTCC, Euro Clear, and/or transfer agents ensuring timely, accurate processing of Conversions.

What will you do?

  • Completes all conversion exhibits obtaining required signatures. Submit instructions to the agent and coordinate allocation for all conversions.
  • Monitor various depositories, clearing firms, bank reconciliation, and internal clearing accounts on a daily basis and reconcile differences to ensure accurate and timely processing of conversions.
  • Reviews and tracks daily conversion volume, identifying potential changes to accounts including fails, pledges or pending trades in order ensure that conversions are completed in a timely fashion.
  • Investigates and rectifies in a timely manner all problems, issues or errors, ensuring the various clearing accounts balance efficiently.
  • Answers questions from operations, NY Capital Markets and the field on procedures and other information concerning the status and details of conversions.
  • Assists the department's specialists as necessary with other voluntary and/or mandatory corporate action processing and notification on NY Capital Market internal accounts.
  • Acts professionally and maintains the company's respectful workplace policy in all dealings with other departments and external customers.
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Strong working knowledge of PC (windows) environment.
  • Knowledge of securities industry.
  • Knowledge of firm, federal and exchange regulations.
  • Knowledge of security payments.

Nice-to-have

  • College degree or 4 years equivalent Corporate Actions brokerage work experience or a combination of education and related work experience.

The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $40,000 - $65,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate's experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs. This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
