The Division of General Internal Medicine, Department of Medicine, University of Colorado School of Medicine is seeking a full-time or part-time clinician-educator experienced in primary care for women to work in our Women's Integrated Services in Health (WISH) clinic located in Lone Tree, CO. Candidates should be particularly interested and experienced in primary care for women and be board certified or board-eligible in internal medicine. A full-time position includes providing patient care eight half days or 32 appointable clinic hours per week in the WISH clinic. Responsibilities also include possibility of supervising internal medicine residents, teaching medical students and participating in decisions regarding practice operation. Responsibility for night, weekend, and vacation coverage will be shared within WISH faculty. The clinician-educator will have opportunity for academic promotion judged on criteria of demonstrated excellence as a clinician/educator/scholar. Clinician-educators are encouraged to collaborate with other faculty in clinical research projects, but are not expected to be clinician-researchers. Key Responsibilities:
- Comprehensive Care: Provide primary care services to women, including annual checkups, routine screenings, vaccinations, acute care needs, and management of chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and asthma.
- Preventative Services: Conduct preventative screenings, such as mammograms, Pap smears, bone density tests, and health assessments for women at different stages of life.
- Reproductive Health: Manage family planning, contraception, prenatal and postnatal care, menopause management, and counseling related to sexual and reproductive health.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate patient records in EMR system, including medical history, treatments, progress notes, and follow-up care, in compliance with healthcare regulations and policies.
- Academic Mentorship: Mentor, as appropriate, medical residents, students, fellows, post-doctoral fellows, advanced practice providers and junior faculty to ensure their success.
- Continuing Education: Stay current with developments in women's health care, ensuring evidence-based practices are integrated into patient care.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. This is an open rank position and could be categorized as Instructor, Senior Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor based on experience and qualifications as indicated below: Non-Tenured Track Instructor:
- MD or DO degree
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine.
- Current State of Colorado Medical License by the employment start date
Senior Instructor:
- MD or DO degree
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine.
- Current State of Colorado Medical License by the employment start date
- Three (3) or more years of professional experience as an internal medicine clinician
Tenured Track Assistant Professor:
- MD or DO degree
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine.
- Current State of Colorado Medical License by the employment start date
*Associate Professor:
- MD or DO degree
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine.
- Current State of Colorado Medical License by the employment start date
- Seven (7) or more years of professional experience as an internal medicine clinician-educator
- Rank of Associate Professor, or equivalent, already attained at a prior academic institution
*Professor:
- MD or DO degree
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
- Current State of Colorado Medical License by the employment start date
- Fourteen (14) or more years of professional experience as an internal medicine clinician-educator
- Rank of Professor, or equivalent, already attained at a prior academic institution
*School of Medicine faculty appointed to the level of Associate Professor or Professor are subject to review and approval of the School of Medicine Faculty Promotions Committee and the Executive Committee. The term "visiting" will be used in the faculty member's title (e.g., "Visiting Associate Professor" and "Visiting Professor") until the dossier has been approved by these committees. Preferred Qualifications:
- Current DEA by employment start date.
- 1-7 years' experience as an MD or DO in women's primary care
- Fellowship experience will be considered under years' experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to provide compassionate care to women of all ages.
- Knowledgeable about the unique healthcare needs of women.
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE: Instructor: $200,000 - $214,000 Senior Instructor: $216,000 - $232,000 Assistant Professor: $200,000 - $214,000 Associate Professor: $219,000 - $234,000 Professor: $231,000 - 247,000 The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
