Short Intro and About the Job

Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (Monday - Friday)

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Incumbent executes standard operating procedures developed for purchasing parts and maintaining the Maintenance Storeroom. This role is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, order receiving, stocking, and all associated follow-up documentation, inventory management, cycle counts, maintains min/max parts/supplies inventory, kitting, and delivery as required for Maintenance parts and supplies. Primary contact with vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective manner of receipt of parts and supplies. Proactively communicates with coworkers across the plant in a cooperative manner as it pertains to order status, maintenance parts, cost, or outstanding maintenance items. Maintains overall maintenance parts/supplies inventory.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
* Safely, efficiently, and accurately performs tasks.
* Responsible for monitoring and maintaining quality of work processes within incumbent's control.
* Responsible to conduct self and encourage coworkers to conduct themselves in a manner consistent with Company mission, values, and code of ethics policies and other standards of conduct.
* Ensures operational efficiency is optimized through availability of critical spare parts and supplies.
* Coordinates with Maintenance Leadership Team and all other affected departments by providing excellent customer service.
* Evaluates vendors, as necessary, to obtain parts and supplies in a timely manner, establishing and maintaining effective vendor/customer relationships, resulting in expediting of emergency repair parts.
* Submits requests for quotes to various vendors and assesses quotes for best value and creates purchase orders.
* Sources all applicable equipment parts and accessories for pricing and effectively negotiates to obtain the best value for the Company.
* Generates requisitions using CMMS program, sending purchase orders to vendors, and tracking delivery status.
* Parts/supply order delivery follow-up, providing accurate lead times, and contacting vendors on past due orders.
* Creates physical space for parts and supplies in maintenance parts room.
* Works closely with Maintenance and Finance leadership to maintain and administer the maintenance department budget.
* Conducts and manages cycle counts 1-2 times annually or as directed.
* Stages parts for preventative maintenance operations and planned corrective or project work orders.
* Delivers parts to maintenance team during periods of equipment downtime to help reduce their time away from equipment.
* Picks-up parts from vendors as needed, delivering them to proper location/individual.
* Prepares reports for daily and weekly Daily Management System and Key Performance Indicators for Maintenance leadership, as needed.
* Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
* While performing duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop; kneel; crouch; crawl; taste and/or smell, talk and hear.
* Ability to bend & stoop at waist level as well as bend & twist neck and head.
* The employee must regularly endure repetitive minimal to moderate lifting 10lbs up to 50lbs and occasional team lifting above 50lbs. Requires normal range of hearing and vision (including colors) to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports and results.
* The employee is occasionally standing on a concrete surface for some portion of the work shift.
* Occasionally may need to climb stairs, step ladders, stool.
* The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
* Ability to work up to 12-hour shifts.

The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to extreme cold, risk of electrical shock and vibration

About You

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Required
* Minimum of three (3) years' experience with computerized materials management systems (CMMS) or equivalent education and/or experience.
* Minimum of three (3) years' experience in a food manufacturing or manufacturing environment.
* Minimum of three (3) years' customer service experience dealing with vendors and internal customers.
Preferred:
* Minimum three (3) years' experience using powered industrial vehicles (PIV), including forklift, electric pallet jack, scissor lift, and Wave.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
* Demonstrated ability to read, write and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
* Demonstrated ability to read, comprehend and follow instructions.
* Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate information one-on-one or small group situations, to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
* Demonstrated ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
* Demonstrated ability to prioritize and organize work.
* Demonstrated ability to reason and make effective decisions for the benefit of the organization.
* Demonstrated basic computer skills, including MS Office
* Demonstrated knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's).
* Availability and willingness to be contacted by phone in the event of an emergency and be able to work flexible schedules, including weekends, late shifts, and overtime, as needed.
