Position Title: Fermentation Technician / HTS Downstream - 12 Hour Days Wage: $23.00 - $27.00/hour + Potential for 10% Quarterly Bonus Shift: 12 Hour Days Hours: 6:00am - 6:00pm (2-3-2 Schedule, Every Other Weekend Off) Are you looking for a company that WANTS to help start and build your career? Fermentation Technician Responsibilities: - Process HTS downstream, homogenizer, membrane filter skid / skids and sterile filter - Perform swabs and ATP testing on equipment, (COP) on parts and certain equipment, inoculating seed fermenters, sterilizing seed fermenters, performing cleaning-in-place (CIP) activities for all fermenters and HTS equipment, taking process samples - Maintain correct and current documentation to all paperwork, update pH board and priorities boards - Maintain clean and organized work zone, safely switch out CIP chemical supply containers - Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Safety Procedures - Follow PPE policies and procedures - Move material throughout area of responsibility - Understand pipe flow, CIP panels, pumps, instrumentation, and procedures and how to safely move liquids and raw materials throughout the facility - Perform preventive maintenance on equipment - Perform permit procedures for all processes/equipment - Identify out-of-conformance conditions and notify supervision Requirements for Fermentation Technician: - High School Diploma or GED - Basic proficiency in Microsoft Suite Applications: Excel, Word and Outlook - Strong safety awareness and adherence to safety procedures and SOPs - Able to understand and follow written and verbal job instructions - Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously - Ability to read and understand documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and written procedures - Effective interpersonal and communication skills to work with and influence people with different backgrounds and job functions - Ability to troubleshoot various operational conditions and recommend potential solutions - Excellent teamwork skills - Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential duties of this job.
