Job Summary
Prepares and revises financial aid awards, and provides financial aid counseling for students and their families.

Responsibilities

1. Prepares financial aid awards and revisions for students in all schools and programs. - 40%

2. Counsels students and parents and provides customer service for students and their families. - 25%

3. Assist the financial aid guest reception processes. - 20%

4. Assists with verification of financial aid records. - 10%

5. Researches and remains up-to-date on financial aid regulations and requirements. - 5%

Required Skills

  • Must be detailed-oriented.
  • Must be able to work independently and as a part of a team.
  • Must be able to manage time and work on multiple projects at the same time.
  • Must be able to work with confidential information.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in written form.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and Google Suite.
  • Working knowledge of a Student Information System.
  • Must be able to stay current on financial aid regulatory requirements.
  • Must have exceptional customer service skills.
Experience

No previous experience is required.
Education

Associate's degree.

Travel: This position requires little to no travel.

Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as desktop and/or laptop computers, photocopiers and smartphones.

Expected Hours of Work:
Typically, days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, with the expectation to work specific schedules and hours as identified and communicated by management. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties
demand. This is a 40 hour per week, 12 months per year position.
