It's a great time to join Air Products! We invite you to apply to our Manager Technical Accounting role at our global HQ in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Hybrid model: WFH 2 days and 3 days in office. This exciting role is part of a highly regarded reporting and consolidations team that is engaged in the Company's dynamic, growing business in 50+ countries, and works with various partners within the finance organization.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Management and administration over a diverse population of global programs to align incentive opportunities with strategic goals.

  • Support incentive plan administration through collaboration and coordination with HR, legal, payroll, controllership, tax, intercompany, and local teams to ensure seamless operations.

  • Oversight of share-based payment awards (ASC 718), related tax impacts (ASC 740), and EPS disclosures (ASC 260).

  • Support preparation of SEC filings (8-K, 10-Q, 10-K, DEF 14A, Form 4, etc.) including communication and coordination with external auditors.

  • Review and approve month-close journal entries, variance-to-plan analysis, account reconciliations and expense/payout forecasts.

  • Prepare and present Statement of Cash flows along with analysis of liquidity & capital resources

  • Prepare & Review Transaction Memos, Support Technical Accounting Inquiries/Research, New Accounting Guidance, Out-of-Period Assessments, etc.

  • Oversee the preparation and audits of our defined benefit and defined contribution plans in North America

  • Support Annual Impairment Testing (e.g., Goodwill, Intangibles, Fixed Assets, Equity Method Investments), Annual Credit Loss Assessment, Acquisitions/Divestitures, etc.

Required Skills / Abilities:

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to work collaboratively with other management, external auditors, and team members

  • Emphasis on operational improvements

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Team-oriented and a strong sense of ownership and motivation

Minimum Hiring Requirements:

  • ~7-8 years of accounting experience

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting

  • Management/Leadership experience
