Position Summary:

Monitors parking areas, issuing citations for parking violations. Collects data on campus parking usage and reports maintenance and safety concerns found on campus. This position will also work with various departments including but not limited to University Police to ensure the safety of the campus and Facilities/Grounds to maintain parking lots. This could include tasks such as cleaning/sweeping lots, painting lines, adding/removing signage, filling holes, etc.

In addition this position is expected to work some evenings and weekends to provide coverage for event management. They will also be expected to work outside in any manner of weather.

Responsibilities

  • Investigates parking eligibility, and compliance with policy
  • Enforces parking violations across property
  • Accurately records vehicle description, location, and parking violation issue parking citations
  • Collaborate with the UWOPD on onboarding Campus Security Officers and fellow officers on a variety of its which may include permits, enforcement regulations, policies, and customer service.
  • Collaborate with parking team to improve our parking operations, provide data, and communicate trends noted in field work to help problem solve and guide decisions regarding daily operations and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure the maintenance of parking areas.
  • Maintain enforcement facilities and equipment.
  • Provides directions and education about parking with customers


Qualifications

Required:

  • Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to become a university authorized driver at the time of appointment.
  • Demonstrated skills in customer service.
  • Ability to perform physical labor throughout work hours, including heavy lifting up to 20 lbs., bending, stooping, twisting and other motions with or without accommodation


Preferred:

  • Associates Degree
  • Experience in parking management and/or other enforcement related software.
