YOUR IMPACT

Fees and Commission is looking for a seasoned professional with a proven track record in financial services, coupled with a strong understanding of UI/UX design principles. The VP will act as a strategic partner, bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions. This role demands a deep understanding of business processes, industry trends, and the ability to translate complex problems into actionable requirements. The successful candidate will collaborate extensively with engineering, design, and data teams to deliver innovative, scalable, and cost-effective solutions. The VP will also be responsible for ensuring the highest quality and standards are applied throughout the product development process. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

OUR IMPACT

Fees & Commissions is responsible for collecting the firm's income, fees, and interest and for paying the firm's transaction expenses. Supporting both our client and proprietary business, the team uses data-based decision making to ensure the firm is profitable, strategic, and adapting to the changing market. Team responsibilities include accurate rate calculations across millions of trades, charge validations, reconciliations, direct money movements, cost allocations, system developments, regulatory updates, strategic system developments, and analytics on optimizing the firm's PnL. We use data analytics and tools such as Alteryx, Tableau and SQL to make data-driven decisions and suggestions.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL



  • Proactively analyze data to identify opportunities and drive data-informed business strategy.
  • Partner with stakeholders across departments (front office, engineering, BI, compliance, etc.) to develop capabilities for new process that would identify and mitigate risk derived from the combination of quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Ensure alignment between business requirements and customer/user experience.
  • Maximize client experience and business growth through streamlined processes, synergy, and the adoption of UI/UX best practices.
  • Design and work with Engineering to implement user interfaces that prioritize usability and user satisfaction.
  • Create milestones that effectively drive product development and release adopting the principals of growth from Minimum Viable Product [MVP].
  • Evaluate and analyze requirements, maintain processes, and prepare regular status reports for senior leadership to provide insightful analyses of the business for management
  • Apply process reengineering methodologies in executing strategies and tactical solutions.
  • Work closely with developers and users to ensure a seamless and positive user experience from idea creation to go-live.
  • Manage projects and user acceptance testing.
  • Prepare and update internal and external documentation.
  • Lead and mentor a team of business analysts.
  • Contribute to the strategic direction of the firm's technology initiatives.



SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR



  • 8+ years of experience in design, development or user experience, with a focus on business analysis, product management & development.
  • Proven track record in conducting business analysis functions, product discovery, stakeholder management, solution designing, and software test planning.
  • Experience with UI/UX design principles and the ability to collaborate effectively with designers.
  • Proficiency in data visualization and relevant Microsoft applications (Visio, Power Apps, Power BI).
  • Experience with business process modeling and workflow mapping.
  • Firsthand experience working with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Experience in production support of front-office applications.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to communicate technical and business concepts to diverse stakeholders.
