Job Title: Business Development Manager - Key Accounts

Job Overview:The Business Development Manager - Jan/San Key Accounts will be responsible for identifying, developing, and managing relationships with large distributors in the commercial and professional sectors, with a particular focus on Jan/San and Foodservice. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in business development, sales, and key account management. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the industry landscape, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to drive revenue growth through strategic partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and engage with potential large distributors to establish and nurture strategic partnerships.

  • Develop and execute comprehensive business development plans to achieve revenue and growth targets.

  • Drive sales growth by developing and implementing effective sales strategies tailored to key accounts.

  • Manage the entire sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation to negotiation and closing deals.

  • Maintain and grow relationships with existing key accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, addressing their needs and providing exceptional service.

  • Conduct thorough market research to identify potential large distributors and key accounts in the Jan/San and Foodservice industries.

  • Analyze industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform business development strategies.

  • Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and operations, to align efforts and deliver value to key accounts.

  • Collaborate with distributors to develop joint marketing and promotional initiatives.

  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, providing regular reports to senior management.

  • Utilize data-driven insights to refine business development strategies and achieve targets.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales or key account management, preferably in the Jan/San or Foodservice industries.

  • Proven track record of successfully developing and managing large distributor accounts.

  • Strong understanding of the commercial and professional distribution landscape.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.

  • Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset.

  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
