Location: This is a hybrid (virtual/onsite) position with required onsite days on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday assigned to One Energy Plaza (OEP) located in Jackson, MI. The selected candidate must be within a commutable distance or willing to relocate (relocation package is available for those that qualify).


General Summary of Job Responsibilities

This manager will be a member of the Corporate Development team within the Corporate Strategy department and will have a particular focus on strategic partnerships and alliances and will beresponsible for developing and executing the plans that guide their organization's future growth. They work closely with senior leadership to identify opportunities, determine which ones are most worthwhile, and create a plan of action to achieve those goals. They will lead a team of consultants responsible for overseeing the implementation of approved strategic plans. This will include monitoring progress, providing guidance to consultants and stakeholders and ensuring the team has all needed resources to accomplish their specific goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs thorough evaluations of business opportunities through analysis of potential business, inclusive of competitive analysis, financial analysis, market analysis, performance analysis, technology platforms, and strategic fit. Identify cost saving opportunities across the business and develop plans to realize them
  • Identify and prioritize market opportunities, build business cases, and define product vision and strategy developing and implementing strategic initiatives to grow market share and improve brand recognition.
  • Evaluate business performance against KPIs and take corrective action where necessary
  • Work collaboratively with operations, engineering and 3rd parties to identify and design the minimum viable product/solution to solve the identified problem optimizing for speed to market and create marketing campaigns that effectively reach targeted audiences using the most appropriate channels.
  • Plan requirements with internal and/or external customers, manage project schedules, identify and clearly communicate risks and goals to project stakeholders and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. Drive internal metrics for measuring performance, quality of processes, resourcing and ROI.
  • Forge new partnerships while handling our existing strategic relationships across the energy and technology sectors. Identify mutually beneficial opportunities with a wide variety of partners. Manage and optimize ongoing operational aspects of strategic partnerships (e.g. establishing success metrics and enabling partners to achieve them, managing partner service level agreements and payments etc.).
  • Support the evaluation and development of the business's long-term strategic plans across the business's departments. Provide input into the development of the company's overall strategy.
  • Other duties as assigned or may be necessary

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Advanced excel modeling skills (skills with other modeling tools are a bonus)
  • Team-first outlook including building great working relationships with peers across functions and have a positive can-do attitude
  • Advanced problem solving (problem definition, problem structuring, etc)
  • Strength in effectively communicating with senior executives in both written and verbal communications
  • Experience with cross-functional teams
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to structure complex problems, draw insights, and develop creative solutions

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, engineering, computer science or related field and at least4years ofexperience in engineering, consulting, finance, or other related fields; Experience with cross-functional teams.

    • (OR) Associate's degree inbusiness, economics, engineering, computer science or related field and at least 6years ofexperience in engineering, consulting, finance, or other related fields; Experience with cross-functional teams.
    • (OR)High school diploma/GED with atleast 8 years ofexperience in engineering, consulting, finance, or other related fields; Experience with cross-functional teams.
