Schedule Details:This position will strictly be as needed hours with no set schedule. Must have availability a minimum of two days a week, Monday through Friday, and "on-call" for three to four Saturdays per year. You will work primarily dayshift hours. Start times vary, usually 7am to 11am, with shifts averaging 6 to 8 hours. About Us: ProHealth Care's Transportation Services department supports the organization's materials deliveries to our hospitals and clinics throughout Waukesha County. Additionally, it provides transportation services to our patient population and includes some surrounding community initiatives for certain area healthcare facilities. What You Will Do:
The Transportation Specialist provides quality, safe, specialized patient transportation using hospital lift equipped vehicles for non-ambulatory, non-emergent services, and specially equipped mini vans for ambulatory patient and cargo style vehicles for bulk material supply transport/deliveries within a seven county service area. Specialists utilize GPS/navigation/transportation software on a wireless communication device (smartphone) for critical and routine communications with clients/customers and dispatching team members. Computer skills are used to enter daily driving activity into an automated scheduling system. Secondly, performs tasks related to vehicle maintenance and safety checks to ensure an environment that promotes continuous quality improvement, reflects and treats each individual with respect and compassion - the way they should be treated.
