Title: AI Solutions Product Lead

Location: Hybrid U.S.

Reports To: President, Automotive Division

About the Role

J.D. Power's new AI Solutions unit is at the forefront of transforming the automotive industry through cutting-edge artificial intelligence and data analytics. As a Solution Lead, you will serve as the critical bridge between our automotive clients (OEMs and dealer groups) and our specialized teams of industry experts, product managers, AI engineers, and software developers. This is a unique opportunity to leverage J.D. Power's unparalleled proprietary data assets and our strategic partnership with leading edge data software and AI solutions providers Palantir Technologies to deliver high-impact, customized solutions that address our clients' most pressing business challenges.

The ideal candidate for this role is ...



  • Understanding of the inner workings of an automotive OEM either on the producing side (Product planning, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, product quality, warranty problem solving) or on the selling side (Sales operations, field sales operations, customer service and warranty claim efficiency and reduction)
  • Experience in selling problem solutions to OEM's via interaction with senior executives



What You'll Be Doing in the Role

Client Leadership & Relationship Management



  • Serve as the primary strategic advisor to senior automotive executives, building trusted relationships and developing a deep understanding of their business priorities
  • Collaborate with sales executives to identify opportunities, develop proposals, and manage the client acquisition process
  • Lead discovery sessions to identify client pain points and translate them into solution requirements
  • Ensure client success and satisfaction throughout the solution lifecycle



Solution Development & Delivery



  • Lead cross-functional teams of product managers, AI engineers, and software developers to customize and implement AI-powered solutions
  • Translate client business challenges into technical requirements that leverage our proprietary datasets and software/AI Palantir's platform capabilities
  • Drive the integration of J.D. Power's industry-leading automotive data with client systems to create workflow-embedded solutions to their biggest problems unique insights and capabilities
  • Oversee solution implementation, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and business value realization



Innovation & Thought Leadership



  • Identify emerging trends and opportunities to develop new AI-powered solutions for the automotive industry. Finding problems that the industry doesn't know they have or has given up on.
  • Contribute to the development of our AI Solutions roadmap and go-to-market strategy
  • Represent J.D. Power at industry events and with key clients as a thought leader in automotive AI applications
  • Collaborate with product teams to enhance our proprietary datasets and analytics capabilities



Qualifications

Experience & Education



  • 8+ years of professional experience, with at least 5 years in client-facing roles within the automotive industry, management consulting, or technology services
  • Proven track record of successfully leading complex technology implementations or transformation initiatives for automotive clients
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and coordinating with diverse stakeholders
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree in a relevant field preferred



Knowledge & Skills



  • Deep understanding of automotive industry business models, operations, and challenges
  • Strong grasp of AI/ML applications and their potential to transform automotive business processes
  • Experience with data analytics platforms and tools
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to translate complex technical concepts into easy-to-understand business terms and impacts
  • Outstanding project management and organizational capabilities
  • Commercial acumen and experience in business development processes
