Overview: Securian Financial, a Fortune 500 Company, is hiring for a Customer Service Senior Representative to join our team. This position is located out of our Austin, TX office. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a great team that provides exceptional service to a high-profile and important client. Provides routine external customer-facing servicing and administration support ensuring that good customer relations are maintained, and customer business and issues are resolved fairly and effectively. Responsibilities include but not limited to: Review and process incoming life insurance claims for the Employees Retirement System of Texas (ERS) and The State of Michigan while handling calls in the phone queue. Provide customer service for Evidence of Insurability applications. Monitor customer service standard results by meeting or exceeding client expectations and established performance standards, including phone queue metrics. Communicate with insured customers, clients, and the Home Office to resolve customer inquiries and concerns regarding product and administrative procedures, primarily through phone calls. Maintain records of claims for reporting. Provide customer service regarding conversion questions, including rates, premiums, and eligibility. Qualifications: Excellent customer service skills and positive service attitude Strong verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated problem solving ability. Adaptability and flexibility to work in a team environment. Strong attention to detail. Computer knowledge, including data entry, Microsoft Word and Excel experience, and proficiency with web-based systems. The estimated base pay range for this job is: $18.27 - $31.73 Pay may vary depending on job-related factors and individual experience, skills, knowledge, etc. More information on base pay and incentive pay (if applicable) can be discussed with a with a member of the Securian Financial Talent Acquisition team.
