Overview:

Securian Financial, a Fortune 500 Company, is hiring for a Customer Service Senior Representative to join our team. This position is located out of our Austin, TX office.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a great team that provides exceptional service to a high-profile and important client. Provides routine external customer-facing servicing and administration support ensuring that good customer relations are maintained, and customer business and issues are resolved fairly and effectively.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Review and process incoming life insurance claims for the Employees Retirement System of Texas (ERS) and The State of Michigan while handling calls in the phone queue.

  • Provide customer service for Evidence of Insurability applications.

  • Monitor customer service standard results by meeting or exceeding client expectations and established performance standards, including phone queue metrics.

  • Communicate with insured customers, clients, and the Home Office to resolve customer inquiries and concerns regarding product and administrative procedures, primarily through phone calls.

  • Maintain records of claims for reporting.

  • Provide customer service regarding conversion questions, including rates, premiums, and eligibility.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent customer service skills and positive service attitude

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrated problem solving ability.

  • Adaptability and flexibility to work in a team environment.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Computer knowledge, including data entry, Microsoft Word and Excel experience, and proficiency with web-based systems.

The estimated base pay range for this job is:

$18.27 - $31.73

Pay may vary depending on job-related factors and individual experience, skills, knowledge, etc. More information on base pay and incentive pay (if applicable) can be discussed with a with a member of the Securian Financial Talent Acquisition team.
