THE JOB:

The Vice President of Facilities leads the strategic and operational direction of the Facilities division, aligning with the property's executive committee and company-wide goals. This role drives long-term strategic priorities, collaborates with the Facilities Center of Excellence, and ensures operational and financial targets are met. As the senior leader, the Vice President fosters leadership development, employee engagement, and a commitment to guest service excellence.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Develops and executes the strategic plan for the Facilities division, aligning with the overall vision of the property and company objectives.

  • Manages fiscal budgets, operational strategies, and marketing initiatives to drive both short-term and long-term profitability.

  • Directs all Property Operations functions, ensuring efficient maintenance, facilities management, and compliance with safety standards and regulations.

  • Establishes, implements, and measures guest service standards across all technical trade classifications, ensuring alignment with brand attributes.

  • Provides coaching, mentoring, and succession planning for Facilities leadership, fostering a culture of teamwork, recognition, and continuous development.

  • Develops processes to ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and collective bargaining agreements.

  • Provides technical expertise and management guidance to resolve maintenance, facilities, and landscaping challenges.

  • Maintains open communication with all levels of the department, empowering management to execute responsibilities effectively.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience with 6+ years of prior relevant facilities/engineering management experience in a major hotel, casino, or resort complex.

  • Proven ability to lead large teams, including prior experience managing unionized workforces.

  • Strong understanding of safety systems, HotSOS workflow processes, technical project management, and third-party vendor/contractor partnerships.

  • Experience managing capital projects, budgeting, financial planning, and operational efficiencies.

  • Commitment to guest service excellence and ensuring facilities operations align with overall guest experience goals.

  • Ability to implement new technologies, drive innovation, and develop strategic improvements within facilities operations.

  • Skilled in ensuring adherence to company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
